Purchased
some HWIC 2FE for 1841 and 2811. Neither
device will recognize. Checked compatibility
before buying and says they should work.
Running 12.4(25) IOS. Show diag
says Unknown WAN Daughter Card.
Any
ideas on how to get the devices to see the card? Below are the outputs from a few commands
that might be helpful. Let me know if
other command output is needed. The sho
ip int brief at the bottom shows the fixed fastethernet ports. This particular 1841 has a WIC2T in slot 1.

On
small routers like the 1800, 2800, 1700 etc, you have two types of Cisco IOS
train, i.e. the main train and the T train.
The
T stands for Technology as part of the Consolidated Technology Early Deployment
(CTED) releases. The T train is used to
introduce new features, new hardware platforms, and other enhancements to Cisco WS-X45-SUP7L-E IOS whereas the mainline release is used to cater for on-going bug fixes only,
i.e. no new functionality.
